After 12 years, we’ve made the decision to take a different path. The bridal industry has changed enormously since we started, and so have we. We’re incredibly proud of what E&W has become and everything we’ve created, but we feel that now is the right time to close this chapter and explore what comes next.

We’ll continue trading for the coming months while we fulfil existing orders and welcome our final brides. Final orders placed directly with E&W will be accepted until 30th September 2026. Our stockists may have slightly different closing dates, so please contact your chosen boutique directly for their final ordering date.

Yes! We are still welcoming appointments for a limited time. If you’ve been considering an E&W dress, you can still book an appointment and become part of our final chapter.

Yes. Orders can be placed directly with E&W until 30th September 2026, subject to availability. You can also order through our stockists while they are taking their final E&W orders.

Nothing changes except we may ask you to collect your outfit earlier than orginally planned. All existing orders will continue to be made and delivered as planned. We’ll be in touch with you throughout the process as usual.

That’s absolutely fine. If your order is placed before our final ordering date, we will fulfil it as agreed, even if your wedding is after E&W has closed.

Yes. Alterations will continue to be available through our alterations team after E&W closes. If you are an existing bride, you will receive information about arranging these.

Not necessarily. As we approach the end of the chapter, some designs will become limited by remaining fabric, trims and materials. If there is a particular E&W dress you have your heart set on, we recommend getting in touch sooner rather than later.

Yes! We’ll be selling our remaining sample collection, with all samples available on a first come, first served basis when we announce the sale dates.

Samples will be paid for and taken home on the day, and we will not be able to hold or reserve samples for anyone.

If you have your heart set on a particular dress, we wouldn’t recommend waiting, as we expect the most popular pieces to go quickly.

We’ll announce the sample sale dates and full details across our website and social channels, so keep an eye out.

While E&W as you know it is coming to an end, this definitely isn’t the end of creating, designing and doing things our own way.

Absolutely! We have our entire range here for Brides to try and each dress is made to order. We have our recommended alterations team under our same roof to ensure the perfect fit. You can come hang out at our calming space which is dedicated to just you and your team for your entire appointment and have your dress made from scratch.

Our dresses are all made completely to order, this means we take a little longer than most places as our small team dedicate the time to ensuring your outfit is perfect for you. Our current standard lead time is 16 weeks with the option of a rush order. Our rush orders are available for turnaround of 4-8 weeks. We always suggest to allow 6-8 weeks for any necessary alterations on top of these lead times, however rush alterations can also be accommodated for short turn arounds time of year dependent.

Our studio is appointment only so please don’t call in with out one! We’re always squirrelling away on dresses or might be in the middle of a current appointment. We take appointments Thursday - Saturday. You can make an appointment via our online system here

We have an online system that you can book in here. If you can let us know on your booking what you’re interested in, your budget and dress size it will give us a great idea to get you set up before coming in!

We recommend a good bra, nude underwear and heels if you intend to wear them! Most of our dresses have no structure so a good bra is key.

Most of our dresses can be made around your underwear to ensure that everything is covered so you don’t have to go that low on our backs if you need some support up front!

We recommend bringing no more than 3 people to the appointment with you (4 in total)

We can accommodate up to 6 but just need a little heads up before hand!

Bare in mind, too many opinions can be overwhelming! A few close friends or family whose opinions align with yours are a good team to bring along

We do, initial appointments are £35 and £95 for a bespoke appointment. Initial appointment fees are redeemable aganst purchases over £1500 excluding rush order fees, bespoke fees or accessories.

Bespoke appointment fees are non refundable as this includes our designers time to source fabrics and sketch.

These fees are payable at the time of the booking and are refundable with 7 days notice of cancellation.

Ideally, shopping for your outfit no less than a year before the wedding will make your whole process a lot less stressful for you! Our lead time is currently a minimum of 16 weeks plus 6-8 weeks for your alterations after collecting your outfit. We advise 10-14 months before your wedding to shop.

Rush orders can be accommodated but depend on fabrics and workload.

We do! Depending on our fabric stocks and availability, we have been known to turn dresses around in as little as two weeks, but we can't guarantee this. Most rush orders (fabric dependent) would be 4-8 weeks, plus any time for alterations.

Rush orders start at £250, this can change depending if we need to expedite fabric shipping and any extra hours our team need to complete.

Of course! However, all of our dresses are made specifically to each order so once they are in production, we can not refund any money and they can not be returned. We suggest giving your gown a try on somewhere first if at all possible or at least a similar style to give you the best idea possible before ordering. We also offer virtual appointments!

The benefit of our dresses being made to each order means we can cater to brides wishing to make minor changes to our styles. We often add/remove/change sleeves, higher backs and lower necklines. We can also add or remove trains to most of our dresses. Contact us about what it is you’d like to do before ordering to make sure it can be done

Our outfits vary in pricing with most of our outfits sitting between £1900-£2900. Our structured, floral and more hand sewn pieces go up to £4400.

Our prices may vary slightly through our boutiques so please contact them direct for pricing if approaching them

We rarely discontinue any of our pieces unless we can no longer get the fabrics! We will occasionally hold sample sales in store. Keep an eye on socials for any events!

Sometimes we make things specifically for a shoot or one off events. Other times we may have discontinued pieces. Pop us an e-mail with a pic of what you've seen and we can let you know if we can still make it or have the sample available!

If you have a specific idea in mind of something you want, by all means pop us an e-mail or give us a call! We do not under any circumstances copy any images of dresses you give us. Our bespoke service starts at £3800 and our appointments are charged at £95 which is non redeemable against your purchase. Our designer will chat with you through every option of shape, fabric and embellishment and sketch you up some of our ideas. We make all of our patterns bespoke for you so you need a pretty good idea of what will suit you as there’s no going back!

Our bespoke service requires multiple meetings and fittings directly with our designer and prices can increase at any point depending on work involved.

Right here in the UK! Every E&W gown is designed in our Cardiff studio and brought to life with the help of our small team and a handful of trusted UK makers. From first sketch to final fitting, we keep every step close so we can guarantee the signature quality and care we’re known for.

Yes. Comfort is a core part of how we design. Our dresses are made using soft, mostly non-itch fabrics, considered linings and flexible construction, avoiding anything overly restrictive or uncomfortable. Many styles can also be adapted (from sleeve length and necklines to fit adjustments) to suit individual comfort and sensory preferences.

Absolutely. We regularly work with autistic, ADHD, highly sensitive and neurodivergent brides, as well as those who feel overwhelmed by traditional bridal shopping. Our studio offers calm, one-to-one appointments, a low-pressure environment, and a supportive, understanding approach, with no expectations, no rush, and no “say yes” moments. We're here for you.

That’s completely okay. Our appointments are designed to feel relaxed and flexible, and we’re always happy to slow things down, take breaks or adjust the pace to suit you. There’s no pressure to try everything on, no obligation to decide on the day, and no need to explain or justify how you’re feeling. We’ll guide you in a way that feels right for you.

Yes. We understand that comfort isn’t just about fabric, it’s also about movement, energy levels and how your body feels on the day. Dresses can often be adapted to allow for greater ease, support or flexibility, and appointments can be adjusted to include breaks, a slower pace, or a more structured approach. You’re always welcome to share any needs in advance, but there’s no expectation to, we’ll adapt as we go! We also offer bespoke service for brides needing a little more help and support at their fittings appointments, adjusting every detail to suit you.

Yes, most of our brides will require some form of alteration to their completed outfit.

Even though your dress is made to order, it’s created based on standard sizing and measurements taken during your appointment. Small changes in posture, fabric stretch, or how fitted you’d like the dress to feel can all affect the final fit.

Think of your dress as 90% finished – alterations are the final step to make it perfectly yours.

It’s completely normal (and expected) to need tweaks to the hem, straps, waist, or bust once your dress arrives. Wedding dresses also fit very differently to everyday clothes – they’re structured, layered, and designed to sit in a specific way on the body. This can feel unfamiliar at first, but we’ll guide you through it.

We offer a cost-effective alterations service with our trusted seamstress, Kate, who knows our designs inside out and works closely with us to make sure everything fits exactly as it should.

Once your dress is finished, we’ll invite you back to the studio for your collection appointment. At this point, we recommend booking a 'Collection with in house alterations' with our recommended seamstress, Kate. She works closely with our team and knows every design inside out – so you’re in expert hands.

The alterations process usually involves 2–4 fittings depending on how many adjustments are needed and how you’d like the dress to feel. Most common tweaks include adjusting the hem, waist, straps, bust, or overall fit to suit your shape and comfort.

Alterations are not included in the dress price, as every bride’s needs are different. Our in-house service is designed to be cost-effective, with prices typically ranging from £150–£300 for standard adjustments although this is not a minimum or maximum, just a guideline. We’ll always give you an idea of what to expect during your fitting so there are no surprises.

We recommend booking your slot with Kate as soon as you have purchased your dress. Your alterations will take around 6–8 weeks before your wedding, to give you time to perfect everything without a rush. You are not obliged to use our recommended seamstress and can use someone closer to home if this is more beneficial to you. Please ensure you book your slot with them early incase of their books filling up during wedding season. Our price guides are for our recommended seamstress only and we can not be responsible for prices quoted elsewhere.
