INFORMATION ABOUT US AND HOW TO CONTACT US
a) We are E&W Couture Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (Company No. 12525813, VAT Reg No. GB 335 3321 29).
b) We may contact you via telephone, email, or post using the details you provide. It is your responsibility to notify us of any changes.
c) References to “writing” or “written” include email.
OUR CONTRACT WITH YOU
a) A contract is formed when either a signed agreement is received or any payment is made (deposit, part-payment, or payment in full).
b) If we cannot accept your order (for example due to product discontinuation, pricing error, or delivery limitation), we will notify you and refund any payment received.
c) Payments are non-refundable unless we are unable to fulfil your order. Payments cannot be transferred to another person or order.
d) By making a payment or signing an order form you commit to the full purchase price and remain liable for the balance shown on your invoice, regardless of personal circumstances, design changes, or failure to attend fittings.
FIT OPTIONS: SIZE CHART, PATTERN TWEAK & BESPOKE
a) STANDARD SIZE (READY-TO-WEAR) – Your gown will be produced to the size you select from our standard size chart. Alterations will be required for a personalised fit.
b) PATTERN TWEAK (MADE TO MEASURE) – From £125. Recommended if you fall between sizes and do not intend to change body shape. This service adapts our base pattern to your measurements for a closer fit but will still require alterations.
c) BESPOKE FIT – See Section 6 for details. This is a full custom build from toiles with multiple fittings, tailored entirely to you.
d) Final garment measurements may vary slightly (+/- 1 inch). Pattern or fabric changes can affect the fall and fit of your dress. Placement of darts, seams and motifs may shift with size or style variations.
e) Any changes to the original design may alter the balance or proportions of the gown. We will advise but cannot guarantee exact styling or fit.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS AND MEASUREMENTS
a) Products may differ slightly from online images or samples. Colour and finish variations may occur due to fabric or supplier changes.
b) Measurements are taken no less than 8 months before the wedding date unless otherwise agreed. If you delay being measured, you are responsible for ensuring enough time for production.
c) Once measurements are taken and signed off, you must inform us of any significant body-shape or weight changes. Measurements are for internal guidance only and do not guarantee that the final garment will match these exact figures.
d) Wedding dresses differ from high-street garments and will require tailoring. Even with a Pattern Tweak, alterations will still be necessary. Only our Bespoke Fit service eliminates the need for post-production alterations.
e) If you have specific expectations of fit (waist tightness, neckline height, strap position, etc.) these must be discussed at purchase. We will aim to accommodate but the final fit depends on the garment’s inherent structure and fabric.
f) Non-standard or custom variations, including colour or fabric changes, may incur a surcharge. We cannot guarantee exact fabric or dye-lot matches.
g) All design advice is guidance only and does not create liability.
h) Sample dresses are often pinned or clipped during fittings to simulate fit and may not reflect the exact appearance of your final garment.
i) If you plan to wear specific undergarments (support bras, shapewear, etc.) you must notify us early. Some dress styles may not accommodate certain undergarments without extra construction.
ALTERATIONS AND FITTINGS
a) Once your dress is paid in full, our contractual obligation for the garment itself is complete.
b) Alterations are a separate service and not included in the dress price unless stated in your service chosen.
c) Our recommended seamstress operates independently. Prices are based on our knowledge of typical requirements but may vary.
d) You may use any external seamstress, but we are not liable for pricing, timelines, or outcome.
e) Alterations typically require 3–5 fittings, attended with correct underwear and shoes. Missed or rescheduled appointments may delay completion.
f) Forgotten items or rescheduled appointments may incur a £45 fee.
g) Major size reductions (more than one UK size) or letting out are not advised and are undertaken at your own risk.
h) Certain styles (plunge fronts, low backs) may require internal taping or extra fittings and may not suit all body types.
i) Alterations are based on garment measurements and may not match the appearance of studio samples. Pattern tweaks can also affect proportions.
BESPOKE SERVICES
a) CUSTOM DESIGN – From £3800. Includes a one-to-one design consultation, three hand-drawn designs, fabric suggestions, and pricing. We do not copy other designers’ work. The design must be signed off before production.
b) BESPOKE FIT – From £950. Includes 5–10 toile fittings where the garment is created to your body shape from scratch.
c) All bespoke fittings take place at our chosen fitting location. A final fitting is mandatory before release.
d) Late changes, design edits, or weight fluctuations may incur additional charges.
e) A £45 fee per extra fitting applies if appointments are required due to forgotten items or mid-process changes.
f) All bespoke designs, patterns, and images remain the property of E&W Couture Ltd and may not be reproduced.
g) Bespoke services are non-refundable.
PROVIDING THE PRODUCTS
a) Unless a fixed date is agreed in writing, delivery is within a reasonable timeframe based on order complexity and sourcing. Custom garments may take up to 12 months.
b) We are not liable for delays outside our control (e.g. customs, natural disasters). If a delay prevents completion before your wedding date, we will refund any undelivered product.
c) Responsibility for the garment passes to you upon collection or dispatch.
d) Ownership transfers only when full payment is received.
e) If you fail to pay after reminders, we may suspend supply and charge interest on overdue amounts.

b) Sample dresses and accessories are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
c) Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

iii) You do not collect or accept delivery within a reasonable time.
b) You remain liable for any unpaid balance or loss incurred.
IF THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE PRODUCT
a) Inspect your garment before it leaves our premises. Concerns about condition or quality must be raised before signing the garment release form.
b) Once the item is signed for or taken to alterations, we cannot accept responsibility for issues not previously flagged.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE
a) If a paid-for item is lost or damaged by theft, fire, or flood while on our premises, we will reimburse the garment’s value.
b) We are not responsible for issues related to third-party services (alterations, design changes, dry cleaning, shipping), even if recommended by us. Once a garment leaves our premises or is altered elsewhere, liability for workmanship, fit, or condition rests with you.
c) Fabric swatches are guides only; slight variations may occur.
d) Garments are intended for personal use only. We are not liable for any loss arising from resale or business use.
